For the past few years I've used this journal as sort of an unofficial blog. Although, truth be told, I don't get onto Deviant Art to update it as much as I should.

Well, I've decided that if I'm going to have a blog, I might as well do it properly.

Having a blog will be a good way to keep people up to date on my projects, give advice to other aspiring writers, examine continuity and share research.

I'm building the blog at the moment, but once it's complete, you will be able to find it here - paulpennawrites.wordpress.com/

I'd like to thank everyone who has visited my Deviant Art page and hope some of you decide to follow me on my blog.

Hey, I don't update this nearly as much as I should...

...I should probably just start a blog...

...maybe? Would anyone read that? Anyway...

...big news! Really big news...

...I'm a Writing Runner-Up for this years Top Cow Talent Hunt!

www.comicbookresources.com/art…

Which means, by this time next year, I'll have a professional writing credit.

Awesome stuff. Can't rest on my laurels, though. I have another Shit Flingers script to complete and I've been asked to submit to a digital anthology called Atom Jacket as well.

Plus there's the Oni Press open submissions.

Lots of work. So little time.

Hello everyone.

My name is Paul Penna and I'm a writer.

For the past four years I have studied Screenwriting as an undergraduate degree and a masters.

It is my hope that I can now use the skills that I have learned to break into the comic book industry.

Here, you will find strips or sample artwork from projects I am working on with other artists.

Please read and enjoy.

If you're an artist and think you might like to work with me, then please get in touch.

I'm lucky enough to have a few semi-professional writers as friends, although unlike me they're mostly focussed on short film and television stuff.

Hey I was just wondering about your Miracleman/Marvelman Jr. commission, is there a specific pose you want him in or are there any iconic one's he has in the series? I thought I'd ask you here rather than in my Art Thread on MillarWorld.
